As he appears at home today - Carney Baxter is seen here in December of 2011.

Carney Baxter in his Army uniform in 1945. He was shipped back to the U.S. after victory in Europe and was awaiting deployment in the Pacific theatre when Japan surrendered.

The four remaining Baxter brothers c1948 - Johnie, RV, Richard, and Carney Baxter. Judging by the sandy road, background hill, etc., it may have been taken in front of the old Attebery house near the Buncomb school.
